You will find that the Psychology Building houses
much more than just the Psychology
Department. The English,
History,
Philosophy,
Political
Science, Social
Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Chicano
Studies and Women’s
Studies are all located in this building. Since it houses so
many different departments, you will find that the Psychology
Building is a very busy academic building.
Student
Academic Services (SAS) is also located in this building.
SAS offers an orientation
program for new students and for their parents and family members.
Sessions are offered throughout the summer, at the beginning of each
semester. Students meet key academic and administrative personnel,
learn about university policies, become familiar with student life,
receive academic advising, and register early for classes. Students
who have yet to declare a major are assigned a professional advisor
from Student Academic Services who will help them learn how to
develop skills necessary for choosing a major. The SAS Department
also houses a testing center, where you can take the ACT and other
placement tests, and the Writing Room, where you can get help
writing your papers. |
