What is an Ombudsperson at CSU-Pueblo?
The Dean of Student Life also serves as the
Ombudsperson at Colorado State University-Pueblo. The Ombudsperson acts as an
independent, objective third party that assists faculty, staff, administrators
and students resolve issues and complaints within the University community and
ensures fair and equitable treatment.
What does an Ombudsperson do?
The Ombudsperson is neither an advocate for
students, staff or faculty nor an agent of the University. Rather, the
Ombudsperson is an advocate for fair processes. The Ombudsperson considers all
sides of a situation in an objective and impartial manner, then determines how
best to help bring about a non-adversarial solution.
What happens when you go to the Ombudsperson
Office?
The Ombudsperson will provide a safe,
comfortable and confidential environment for you to discuss your concerns. The
Ombudsperson will help you develop strategies and options for resolving your
issues, as well as provide information to you regarding University policies and
procedures. The Ombudsperson is committed to providing and maintaining
confidentiality for those persons using the services. The concerns and issues
discussed with the Ombudsperson remain in strict confidence. The Ombudsperson
keeps no records of users names or issues.

719-549-2586. The Ombudsperson is located in the Dean of Student Life Office,
Room 003 of the Occhiato Student Center. The Ombuds Office is open from 8:00
a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
