New Classes have been posted. Come check out the new
Judo class
starting October 21th every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 - 9:00pm room 206 Rec
Center.
General Info:
A variety of fitness classes
are offered for participants wanting to get a great cardio workout, wanting to
burn some fat, and/or wishing to tone those bodies.
If you are beginner or a regular participant, there is a class for you!
Classes are non-competitive.
Participants are encouraged to work at their own level.
Classes are taught showing ‘options’ to moves/routines to accommodate
different audience levels (low, intermediate, and advanced – showing how to push
the ‘harder’ button).
Classes are led by
well-trained, friendly, and enthusiastic instructors who are either certified
and/or have been through a rigorous training program, focusing on proper
technique, safety, and class format.
Each instructor is allowed to teach with his/her own unique ‘style’ – which
greatly enhances and adds variety to the program.
Equipment is provided for most
classes, including steps & risers, free weights, BodyBars, resistance bands &
tubing, mats, yoga mats & blocks, jump ropes, and hand irons (weighted gloves
for kickboxing). Special equipment,
shoes, or clothing may be recommended
for some classes (water – swimming suit, towels, water shoes and for Judo – ‘Gi’,
a double-weave suit).
Schedule:
Please check the schedule
regularly – it may change as we change class formats and add classes to
accommodate needs.
No classes during Thanksgiving
Break (November 24-28).
Instructors:
Lisa Martin
Kim Cooper
Kryste Brown (water)
Christie Cowan
Hannah Rowell
E.J. Armijo (Judo)
