Financial Conflicts Of Interest in Public Health Service Funded Programs
The purpose of this policy is to comply with the Regulation’s
requirement that the university establish and implement policies
concerning disclosures of “Significant Financial Interests” (“SFIs)”
held by persons engaged in research funded by PHS agencies. Compliance
is required in order for the university to maintain eligibility for
federal funding from the PHS and related sponsors. The Regulation
includes specific requirements for disclosing, reporting and managing
FCOIs in order to “ensure there is no reasonable expectation that the
design, conduct, or reporting of research funded under NIH [or other
PHS] grants, cooperative agreements, or contracts will be biased by any
conflicting financial interest of an Investigator.”

Posting Policy
The External Affairs office is pleased to announce some amendments to the university posting policies. All posters/flyers intended for display beyond those in the OUC or residence halls must be approved.
