The CSU-Pueblo Writing Room is located in Psychology Suite 232. The Writing Room is open Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM. We can be reached for scheduling of appointments at 549-2901.

The Writing Room offers a convenient and comfortable environment. It is a relaxed but busy place where students are always welcome. The staff strives to show students that writing is a path to better academic skill and improved self-confidence. We believe that good writing requires good thinking, that writing is a process, and that writing is a collaborative activity. The CSU-Pueblo Writing Room offers services through two delivery systems. A Couple of Items to Remember We do not write papers.We do not proofread papers for the purpose of correcting errors. Students must proofread and spell check their own work. We do not discuss a paper's potential or given grade. Students can Receive Help with Essays, Research Projects, Letters, Fiction and PoetryWe can help you at any stage of your writing process: Starting: Understanding assignments, brainstorming, freewriting. Drafting: Finding a focus, choosing a purpose, developing a thesis, sketching out an argument. Revising: Improving your paper's organization, expanding ideas, improving your clarity and cohesion. Researching: Finding a topic and choosing search terms, conducting searches (on the WWW and the library catalogue), evaluating sources, note taking and research log recording, integrating material into your essay, writing correct citations. Proofreading: Learning how to find and correct errors in punctuation, usage, and grammar on your own.
