Colorado State University - Pueblo hosts
gathering of engineering, technology educators
Pueblo- The Engineering Department
and College of Education, Engineering, and Professional Studies (CEEPS) at
Colorado State University-Pueblo will be host to nearly 30 scholars from
across the Rocky Mountain region at the 2008 American Society for
Engineering Education (ASEE) Rocky Mountain Section Conference April 18-19
in the Occhiato University Center.
The conference brings together engineering and technology professors from
the region, including Colorado, Utah, South Dakota and Wyoming. A plenary
panel will include the ASEE president-elect Sarah Rajala, CSU-Pueblo
Engineering Professor Jane Fraser, ASEE Council of Sections, Zone IV chair,
and CEEPS Dean Hector Carrasco. The panel will discuss current and future
educational challenges facing engineering and technology education. Papers
were sought from faculty on a variety of educational engineering/technology
topics, including:
* Disruptive Technologies in Engineering and Engineering Technology
Education
* Innovations and Leadership in the Global Environment
* Future Engineering and Engineering Technology Program Directions
* Innovative Teaching Methods for Engineering and Engineering Technology

* Diversity: Women and Minorities in Engineering and Engineering Technology

* New and Current Topics of Interest to Engineering and Engineering
