Colorado State University - Pueblo Student Activities Sponsors RockStar Tour April 3

Pueblo-  Colorado State University-Pueblo is one of 25 campuses across the country and the only venue in Colorado to host the ROCKSTAR Energy Drink Get A Life Tour presented by Samsung Mobile. The concert is sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and the 2008 CSU-Pueblo Special Events Committee.

The concert, headlined by Reprise recording artist THE USED, will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at the Colorado State Fairgrounds Event Center. CSU-Pueblo students will receive ONE FREE ticket to the concert and may buy others at $20 each. Tickets also may be purchased for $20 each on-line at www.Ticketmaster.com (plus $5 service charge through Ticketmaster, but no fee if you buy at the Events Center box office). Tickets will be available at a table in the Occhiato University Center Great Hall from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday up until concert day on April 3.

All seats are general admission. On the day of the concert, doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for the
7 p.m. performance. Students who originally received an “orange” ticket to the concert may stop by the Office of Student Activities (OUC002) in the lower level of the Occhiato University Center to switch to a new ticket.

The USED have a new iTunes-only release, “Shallow Believer,” which debuted on Feb. 19, and is currently on the iTunes Top 100 Chart. “Shallow Believer” consists of B Sides and rarities from past recording sessions and favorites of the band. A selection of new songs from “Shallow Believer will be performed on the tour.

Performing each night with THE USED will be STRAYLIGHT RUN, ARMY OF ME, STREET DRUM CORPS, and the Samsung Mobile Unsigned Battle of the Bands winner, LIGHTS RESOLVED.

THE USED is launching its first full college foray after receiving unprecedented demand from colleges throughout the country. The USED is one of the most successful bands to emerge over the past six years and has sold in excess of three million albums worldwide. A second album IN LOVE AND DEATH continued to expand their fan base worldwide. The band’s third album LIES FOR THE LIARS debuted in the Top 5 in more than seven countries in May, 2007. They have performed to more than five million people through 1,000 shows in 30 countries over the past six years and have achieved Gold or Platinum status in at least 6 countries.
