CSU – Pueblo announces STEM Scholarship
recipients Pueblo- Nineteen first-year students majoring in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics have received a $5,000 scholarship to help them finish their degrees on time. Last year, the University received notice from the National Science Foundation (NSF) that the S-STEM program (Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) had been approved to provide 20-25 scholarships to financially needy and academically capable students majoring in the STEM disciplines. Those majors include biology, chemistry, civil engineering technology, computer information systems, engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, mathematics, and physics. This year’s STEM Scholarship recipients include: Avondale Gary Marascola, pre-engineering Boone Matthew Devries, chemistry Brush Crystal Samples, chemistry Canon City Salvatore Vigil, pre-engineering Colorado Springs Brandon Flack, biology Amanda Ariaz and Amber Bittinger, chemistry Hotchkiss Joshua Sickles, civil engineering technology Montrose Alonzo Franklin, civil engineering technology Pueblo Megan Gladwin and Amber Provinzano, biology Matthew Carpenter, Ronald Genova, Jonathan Marascola, computer information systems Britanney Constuble, industrial engineering Walsenburg Jose Trujillo, biology Westcliffe Christopher Schwanz, mechatronics Kaneohe, Hawaii Kyle Okumura, mechatronis Laurel, Mont.
