Colorado State University - Pueblo
announces Aquila Scholars for 2006-2007
Pueblo- Aquila has generously donated $4,000 in
scholarship money for four Colorado State University-Pueblo students.
Students must be an accepted CSU-Pueblo student with a 3.0 GPA and a
residential or a commercial/industrial customer of Aquila in order to
qualify. In addition to supporting student scholarships, Aquila also
designated $1,000 to help support Math Day at CSU-Pueblo, which attracts
more than 400 high school students to campus. The winners are selected by
the University Scholarship committee and can apply for the scholarship by
filling out the Institution Application. The deadline for the 2007-2008
Aquila Scholarship is February 1, 2007.
The 2006-7 scholarship winners are:
• Michael Gilbert, a Pueblo senior with a double major in Physics and
Mathematics
• Victoria Jones, a Pueblo senior majoring in biology
• Timothy Garrett, a senior from Leadville, with a major in Exercise
Science, Health Promotion and Recreation with an emphasis in Teacher
Preparation K-12
• Zachery Hartbauer, an entering freshman from Pueblo, who plans on majoring
in chemistry with an emphasis in Pre-Pharmacy Colorado State University - Pueblo is a regional, comprehensive university
emphasizing professional, career-oriented, and applied programs. Displaying
excellence in teaching, celebrating diversity, and engaging in service and
outreach, CSU-Pueblo is distinguished by access, opportunity, and the overall
quality of services provided to its students.
