Colorado State University – Pueblo
announces ‘Dining for Success Etiquette Training’
Pueblo- Which fork do I use? How do I butter a roll? What should I do
with food that drops in my lap? The answers to these and other etiquette
questions will be addressed at Colorado State University – Pueblo’s 8th
Annual Dining for Success Etiquette Training for junior, senior and graduate
students. The event, to be held at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, at
the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main, will feature about 25
community leaders and 200 CSU-Pueblo students.
The event is open at no cost to CSU-Pueblo students for the first 200
students who register on a first-come, first-served basis. Students
interested in participating in the dinner may call (719) 549-2142 for
reservations. However a $25 “no-show” fee will be assessed to students who
take the opportunity from another student by reserving a space but not
attending.
The annual event prepares students for the professional world through a
networking reception followed by a five-course meal that will pair one or
more community leaders with about seven students per table and a
presentation from this year’s guest speaker, Dr. Sue Hanks.
Dr. Hanks is a professor and interim dean in the Hasan School of Business.
She is well versed in business ethics and dining etiquette, and she has
particular expertise in educating students on the do’s and don’ts in
business.
Community leaders will share their experiences with students and lessons
learned.
The dinner is sponsored by CSU-Pueblo’s Career Center, Recreation Fee Board
the Hasan School of Business, and the Pueblo Convention Center.
Professional business attire is required for students.
