CSU–Pueblo sponsors Take Back the Night March and Rally

Pueblo-
In conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Week at Colorado State University – Pueblo, the University Student Counseling Center will host a Take Back the Night March and Rally from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 at the Fountain Plaza. In the case of inclement weather, the rally will move to the Occhiato University Center Ballroom.

According to Program Coordinators Fred Stultz and Barbara Hadley, they hope the event will raise awareness about sexual violence and emphasize that such violence, or violence of any kind, will not be tolerated on our campus or in the local community.

The rally first occurred in Europe in 1976 and has continued throughout the world as a sign of empowerment for women, men, and children. This is the first year the rally will located on the CSU-Pueblo campus.

For additional information about the rally, contact Hadley at 549-2569 or barbara.hadley@colostate-pueblo.edu
