CSU-Pueblo Athletics Honors September 11 Victims in Remembrance Ceremony
Ceremony Precedes 5th Annual Wells Fargo ThunderWolves Golf Classic
Pueblo- The Colorado State University-Pueblo athletics department, in
conjunction with several local government agencies, is hosting a September
11 Remembrance Day Ceremony preceding the start of the 5th Annual Wells
Fargo ThunderWolves Golf Classic. The ceremony will take place at the Pueblo
Country Club golf course on Monday, September 11 at 8:10 a.m. Local
dignitaries will be on hand to assist with the ceremony, which will include
a proclamation, a 21-gun salute, and a ringing of the bells to mark when the
World Trade Center’s north and south towers collapsed. The media and public
are invited to attend the ceremony.

Why: In remembrance of the brave emergency responders who risked their lives
on September 11, 2001 while trying to save civilians trapped in the World
Trade Center’s north and south towers after they were struck in a terrorist
attack on the United States. This year marks the fifth anniversary of those
attacks and is an opportunity to recognize the emergency responders in our
own community.
