CSU–Pueblo Begins Fifth Annual School Supply Drive
Pueblo- The Teacher Education Association at Colorado State University -
Pueblo is beginning its fifth annual school supply drive with the goal of
providing basic supplies to many Pueblo families so that their children can
have a successful and enjoyable start to the school year.
Last year’s drive raised more than $500 in school supplies for area children
and the Teachers Education Association hopes to double or triple that amount
this year. Community support, from area businesses and individuals, is the
driving force behind the success of the school drive, according to Margie
Massey.
Monetary donations as well as actual school supplies will be accepted
beginning August 9th through August 18th. Supplies may be dropped off
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in Library Wing
320 or 317D or be picked up by arrangement by contacting Massey at
719-549-2257. Contributions will be distributed to area children the week of
August 28 at Parkview Elementary, Irving Elementary and Risley Middle
School.
The following are the most needed items for the project:
Glue Sticks
Scissors
Crayons
Markers
Colored Pencils
Erasers
Supply Boxes
Rulers
