CSU–Pueblo hosts “Night at the Chieftains” on Friday
Pueblo- Colorado State University – Pueblo Auxiliary Services is hosting
its annual CSU-Pueblo Night at the Chieftains this Friday night as the
Pueblo Chieftains take on the Jeffco Rockhounds. The annual event is free
and open to all faculty, staff, students and members of the community.
The baseball game starts at 7 p.m., Friday (June 9) at Rawlings Field on the
CSU-Pueblo campus. Auxiliary Services will hand out free hot dogs, chips,
peanuts and refreshments beginning at 6 p.m. to the first 100 guests. In
addition to food and refreshments, Auxiliary Services also will hand out
tickets for free prize drawings.
Prize drawings include CSU-Pueblo bookstore merchandise, T-shirts, two
tickets to the Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game on July 8, and
an iPod. All guests at the game have a chance of winning one of the many
prizes that Auxiliary Services will raffle off.
The Pueblo Chieftains are affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Baseball
League, which is a 10-member, wood bat league. The Pueblo Chieftans team is
made up of college eligible players; the team has won seven consecutive
league or regional titles and has participated in the NBC World Series held
in Wichita, Kansas every year since the team formed in 1999.
