CSU- Pueblo Parking Management & Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office 3rd Annual Military Donation Drive

Pueblo –The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at CSU-Pueblo is sponsoring its 3rd Annual Military Donation Drive. We are collecting donations for the unit of 20 year-old Lance Corporal Geoffrey Mortimer, a Beulah resident and Rye High School graduate. Geoffrey is a Purple Heart recipient, who was wounded in a vehicle explosion while patrolling the city of Ramada, Iraq in March of 2004. Corporal Mortimer is currently serving his second tour of duty in Iraq. All donations collected will be sent to Corporal Mortimer and his unit to make Christmas overseas a little more bearable. Suggested items include non-perishable food and candy items, reading materials such as books and magazines, electronic games and batteries, calling cards, etc. The deadline for contributions is Friday, Nov. 18, 2005. Please bring donations to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office @ CSU-Pueblo, located in the Administration Building 118. Donations will be shipped the week of Thanksgiving Break to ensure delivery to the troops by Christmas. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Jessie Walker at 549-2373.
