Colorado State University – Pueblo
students and organizations sponsor Spirit Week
Pueblo- Food, costumes, and fun activities combine to make the week of
Oct. 11-15 Spirit Week at Colorado State University-Pueblo. The week was
designed by the T-Wolf Squad, a newly formed charter club focused on
increasing the enthusiasm and participation of the student body.
The week begins on Monday with Rodeo Day, including How to Rope lessons from
11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on the OUC Patio courtesy of the CSU-Pueblo Rodeo Club Day.
Students are encouraged to dress as their favorite Western Actor or actress
and enjoy some Old West adventure.
The decade of the 80s returns to campus on Tuesday, Oct. 12, with a Dance
and Karaoke Night beginning at 9 p.m. in the OUC Ballroom. Bangle Students
are encouraged to don their baggy pants and bangle bracelets. The night will
feature hula-hoop contests, door prizes, and more!
On Wednesday, Oct. 13, students will be in vogue on GQ Day as they’re asked
to strike a pose and dress in their finest. A makeshift runway will allow
those willing to strut their stuff like super model from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on
the Library Lawn.
Students will hang loose on Thursday , Oct. 14 when Hawaiian Luau Day brings
free fruit kabobs for all from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on the OUC Patio. Students
may purchase leis at a minimal cost to complement their casual island wear
during this tropical event.
The week ends with Spirit Day on Friday, Oct. 15. Students should wear their
favorite CSU-Pueblo shirts, hat, colors, and logos, or go old school and don
their USC memorabilia.
