Mountin Named Colorado State University – Pueblo Sports Information Director
Pueblo- Joe Folda, Colorado State University – Pueblo athletic director, today announced the hiring of Matthew Mountin as the ThunderWolves new sports information director. Mountin replaces Matt Hildner, who resigned in June to pursue other interests.
“Matthew is going to be a great addition to our program,” said Folda. “He has extensive experience in the sports information field and brings new ideas to our program which will enhance our web site, publications, and press releases.”
Since 1996, Mountin served in numerous capacities in the sports information department at Marquette University, progressing from a student assistant, to a graduate assistant, and finally an assistant SID last year.
While at Marquette, Mountin was involved in the 1999 and 2004 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball first and second rounds, the 2002 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship, and the 1998 Davis Cup Semi-Finals.
The Milwaukee, Wisc. resident received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in journalism from Marquette University in 2000. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree in 2003.
Mountin begins his new duties at CSU-Pueblo on Thursday, August 5.
