CSU - Pueblo Alumni Association offers Day at the Races at PPIR

Pueblo -- Alumni of Colorado State University - Pueblo, start your engines.
A Day at the Races is being offered for CSU-Pueblo alumni and their families as Pikes Peak International Raceway and the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association host a NASCAR outreach event this summer.

Alumni will have an upper grandstand view as Greg Biffle, Kenny Wallace, and Kyle Busch compete at the Colorado 250 NASCAR Busch Series Race on Saturday, July 31 at PPIR in Fountain, Colo.

For $50 per person, alumni will receive on upper grandstand adult race day ticket, a $5 coupon toward any food or beverage, and a post-race concert featuring country music artist Martina McBride. Junior tickets (age 6-15) also are available for $20. Spectator gates are open to the public at 8 a.m. on race day. The NASCAR AutoZone Midwest Series Races (150 laps) revs up at 10:30 a.m., and the NASCAR Busch Series Race drivers will be introduced at 1 p.m. for the 1:30 p.m. start of 250 laps of high altitude, high speed, championship racing.

Tickets are limited, so reserve your Day at the Races spot now by calling Laura Brandt, CSU-Pueblo Director of Alumni Relations, at 719-549-2858, or by emailing alumni@colostate-pueblo.edu

"The CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association continues to plan activities that match the diverse interests of its alumni," Brandt said. "PPIR and the growing popularity of NASCAR seemed to provide another opportunity to reach out to yet another segment of our alumni base."
