CSU-Pueblo Student Documentary Chronicles Last Years of CF&I
Pueblo -- Students in a
mass communications documentary class this spring at Colorado State University -
Pueblo have chronicled the unique bond among steel workers who operated the
CF&I plant during its final years of operation.
Entitled "Forged in Steel: The Colorado Fuel and Iron Company," the
20-minute documentary will be shown free to the public at 7 p.m. on Thursday,
April 29 at the InfoZone News Museum of the Robert Hoag-Rawlings library, 100 E.
Abriendo Ave.
Local steel workers participated in the documentary that uses local footage and
interviews to capture the relationship among steel workers at the mill,
according to Sue Wronski, instructor and KTSC Rocky Mountain PBS producer.
A small reception will be held at 6 p.m. with the documentary to follow at 7
p.m. A discussion session will follow the viewing of the film.
