CSU - Pueblo Sponsors Fifth Annual X-Challenge Competition
Pueblo -- Colorado State
University - Pueblo will host the fifth annual X-Challenge competition on
Saturday (April 17). Sixteen co-ed teams of four will compete in novice or
competitive divisions in a mountain bike relay, a climbing wall relay, a
kayak/run relay, and a ropes/challenge course for each team's share of prizes
and the esteemed honor of being named the 2004 X-CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS.
CSU-Pueblo Department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion and Recreation in
conjunction with the University's Experiential Learning Center is sponsoring the
event.
The competition is open to individuals age 18 and up. All participants will
receive a t-shirt, food, refreshments, and the chance to win "out"
door prizes. Teams not yet registered must do so by Friday, April 16. Cost for
registration is $60 for teams with two or more students or $80 for non-student
teams. Registration is being taken online at http://www.active.com.

Registered teams will sign in at 7:30 a.m. the day of the competition. The event
will conclude with an awards ceremony.

Team Check-in
(Challenge Course or Sports Center 213 in inclement weather)
8 a.m. - Noon
Events Begin
(Challenge Course, Wall Climb Relay, and Run/Kayak Relay all running throughout
this period as teams switch between events)
12:15 pm - 1:15 pm
Mountain Bike Relay
(all teams together, start adjacent to the maintenance building)
1:30-2:30 p.m.
Awards Luncheon and Prize Drawing
(outside in tent or in Sports Center 213 in inclement weather).
