CSU - Pueblo Hosts Wells Fargo Financial Services E-bus
Pueblo -- The
wellsfargo.com bus, a mobile financial-services educational unit, will make its
first stop in Colorado at Colorado State University - Pueblo from noon to 2 p.m.
on Friday, April 16 near Fountain Plaza.
The wellsfargo.com bus is equipped with satellite-enabled Internet access and 20
state-of-the-art computers that are used to demonstrate and provide hands-on
training for financial services such as online banking. The mobile unit
typically stops to give educational information in towns and cities larger than
Pueblo.
Those who attend can participate in an interactive workshop, sign up for free
access to Wells Fargo Online, and learn how to use Online Bill Pay. Online tours
of other resource centers for students, small-business owners, homebuyers, and
investors also will be available. Bankers will be on site to answer questions
and provide customer services.
According to Ofelia Morales, Director of Student Financial Services at CSU-Pueblo,
CSU-Pueblo has partnered with Wells Fargo to provide all students with free
banking services.
"This partnership allows students immediate access to their payroll and/or
financial aid through Electronic Funds Transfers," Morales said. "Our
goal is not only to provide free banking services, but to give students valuable
training on how to use those services and how to manage finances in general. The
visit by the Wells Fargo E-bus is but one means to reach this goal."
CSU-Pueblo's student-run radio station, REV89, will be broadcasting live at the
site to promote the event. Wells Fargo will distribute some free prizes to
participants.
