Pueblo School of Arts and Sciences to host 26th Annual Las
Posadas
Pueblo -- Pueblo School of
Arts and Sciences students in grades 3-8 will perform in the 26th annual Las
Posadas Christmas Celebration from 3:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at various
locations in downtown Pueblo.
Las Posadas is a re-enactment of the Christian Christmas story of Mary and
Joseph's journey to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus. The procession will begin
at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main, and continue down Main Street
with a variety of vocal performances until the students arrive at the Pueblo
County Courthouse, 215 W. 10th, where others will become involved, including a
mariachi band, County Commissioners, and the Pueblo Chorale. PSAS teachers will
oversee the various performance stations, including decorations and costuming.
