Colorado State University-Pueblo to view, discuss documentary of
India
Pueblo -- Colorado State
University-Pueblo's Women's Studies program will offer a free viewing of the
documentary DAM/AGE, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11 in the Occhiato Center
West Ballroom. This event is free and open to the general public.
DAM/AGE is a film about India's environment and water. It also features voices
of disenfranchised peoples within the democracy and examines the activism of
Arundhati Roy, Indian writer, actor, and screenplay writer.
Following the showing of the film will be a discussion by a panel of CSU-Pueblo
faculty experts with different perspectives of the film: William Beverly,
assistant professor of social work, social justice issues; Margaret Senatore,
English, looking at the film as film; Bea Spade, associate professor, History,
Indian history and culture; Cindy Taylor, associate professor of English and
foreign languages, ecofeminism
Refreshments will be provided following the 50-minute film.
