Colorado State University - Pueblo hires Parra as Cheerleading
Coach
Pueblo -- Caroline Parra
has been hired part-time to serve as cheerleading coach for the ThunderWolves
cheerleaders at Colorado State University - Pueblo. Parra will manage and
instruct a co-ed team of 20 cheerleaders, which currently includes 12 females
and 8 males. The Thunder Wolves Cheerleaders will perform at CSU-Pueblo games
and events as well as make community appearances.
Parra is a 1997 graduate CSU-Pueblo, where she earned a double major in
Sociology and Mass Communications. Prior to attending CSU-Pueblo, Parra attended
The University of Northern Colorado, where she was a collegiate cheerleader for
two years and has assisted the community by instructing cheerleading classes,
clinics and try-out workshops. In 2000, Parra earned a Master of Arts degree in
Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Parra is employed at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center and is a member of many
community organizations including the Cesar Chavez Academy Board of Directors,
CSU -Pueblo President's Community Advisory Council, Latino Chamber of Pueblo
Marketing/PR Committee Chair, and the Pueblo Chicano Democratic Caucus.
