                             CSU - Pueblo one of two sites to broadcast 
                      Governor's Technology Summit 2003 on Friday

Pueblo -- Colorado State University-Pueblo will co-host a technology issues discussion and an interactive regional broadcast as part of the Governor's Technology Summit for 2003 on Friday, September 12 from noon-4:30 p.m. Local events begin with a discussion of technology issues among community leaders from noon-1 p.m. in Hasan School of Business 110 with the general session in a two-way broadcast from Denver beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Life Sciences Auditorium. There is no cost to attend either event, and the general public is welcome, although registration is strongly encouraged. The event is being co-hosted by the Pueblo Technology Alliance, a consortium of community leaders and organizations advocating for technological advancements. Grand Junction also will serve as a regional site for the event.

The general session will feature Governor Bill Owens, Sun Microsystems Chairman, President and CEO Scott McNealy and J.D. Edwards Chairman, President and CEO Bob Dutkovsky, as well as a panel of state industry representatives who will speak on creating jobs and developing a technological economy. John Hansen, Secretary of Technology, and the Governor also will appear via satellite to listen to comments and questions of participants.

A question and answer session will follow regarding the most common questions submitted at the time of online registration.

Registration is available online at www.oit.state.co.us/summit2003/ and Southern Colorado must be indicated as the designated region. Participants registered from this region will receive a follow-up invitation with detailed information about the local agenda.
