Southern Colorado High School Honor Orchestra
Pueblo -- Calling all
Southern Colorado high school orchestral musicians! Audition now for the First
Annual Southern Colorado High School Honor Orchestra to be held at the Colorado
State University-Pueblo campus on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22,
2003.
Audition tapes are due by October 15, 2003. Students selected as Honor Orchestra
members will have the opportunity to perform in a public concert at 2 p.m.,
November 22 under the baton of the highly acclaimed Dr. Jacob Chi, Director of
the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Veronika String Quartet members
and other CSU-Pueblo music faculty members. The performance will be recorded on
CD and available for purchase to participants.
This is the first high school Honor Orchestra designed to include members from
all Southern Colorado regions and is an exceptional opportunity for talented
high school students to perform in a full orchestral instrumentation under the
direction of professional coaches.
Rehearsals will be held on November 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on November 22
from 9 a.m. till noon. Audition materials and applications are available on the
