USC Music Department schedules scholarship auditions
Pueblo -- Musically inclined high school
seniors may audition for music scholarships on Saturday, April 26, at the
University of Southern Colorado, soon to be named Colorado State

Auditions for winds, percussion, strings, guitar, piano and voice will take
place on campus between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in 205 MC of the Capozzolo Center for
the Arts. Students should be prepared to perform two pieces or movements in
varying styles during their 15-minute audition. Students also will be asked to
sight-read and perform scales.
Any university student may audition to receive an Ensemble Participation Award.
Scholarships may include up to full tuition for music majors, depending on
ability and participation. These scholarships may be renewed for up to four
years, provided the student continues to meet the criteria.
