Denver Delta Gamma Society Scholarship available at USC
Pueblo -- Applications for a $1,500 scholarship from the Denver Delta Gamma
Society are available at the University of Southern Colorado. Women who are
preparing for a college degree and teacher certification and who are completing
their final year of college during the 2003-04 school year, are eligible to
apply.
The application deadline is Jan. 30, 2003. Selection of the recipient will be
primarily based on the student's class ranking, preferably the upper one-fourth,
or a B average. She should also exhibit evidence of leadership, emotional
maturity, and stability and have an aptitude for and interest in teaching.
The Denver Delta Kappa Gamma Society is a chapter of the international honorary
society for key women educators. Established May 11, 1929 in Austin, Texas,
Delta Kappa Gamma is an international honor society of more than 150,000 key
women educators in fourteen countries. The society promotes professional and
personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
