Alumni Association Announces Home Loan Program with FNB - Colorado
Pueblo -- Employees and alumni of the University of Southern Colorado have
an opportunity to benefit the university, the alumni association, and their own
finances thanks to a new home loan program with First National Bank-Colorado (FNB).
The USC Alumni Association, in partnership with FNB - Colorado, will unveil the
new alumni benefit at a reception beginning at 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at
First National Bank in Pueblo, 510 West 29th St. With any new or refinanced
mortgage loan, FNB will make a contribution to the USC Alumni Association. The
contribution will range from $100-600 based on the final loan amount. All
alumni, employees, and students of USC, SCSC, SCJC, and PJC are eligible to
participate.
All mortgage loans will be at competitive interest rates and with standard
closing costs, according to Mickey Moore, Senior Vice President at FNB-Colorado.
As an added benefit, FNB - Colorado will provide a $150 credit to be applied at
the closing of the loan. This credit may be used to reduce mortgage loan costs,
(i.e. appraisal, title insurance, etc.) During the initial year of the program,
the offer will only apply to alumni, employees or students, who buy or refinance
a home within the state of Colorado. However, as the program continues to grow,
the offer may soon be extended to properties beyond Colorado's borders.
"First National Bank-Colorado is excited to become the strategic partner of
the University of Southern Colorado for the USC Alumni Association Home Loan
Program. Obviously, this program will create a strong network through which the
bank can market mortgage loans, but more importantly, the contributions by FNB-Colorado
to the USC Alumni Association for each mortgage loan closed will provide
on-going financial support for Association activities," Moore said.
"It's a win-win situation for the university, its Alumni Association, and
First National Bank-Colorado."
The USC Alumni Association serves approximately 32,000 individuals. Alumni are
defined as anyone who has attended USC, SCSC, SCJC, or PJC. In 1995, the Alumni
Association board voted to extend membership to all alumni with no fees or dues.
The mission of the USC Alumni Association is to continue and enhance the
relationships among alumni, the University, and alumni communities.
