University of Southern Colorado hosts transfer Open House

Pueblo
-- The University of Southern Colorado will host a transfer open house on November 19, 2002 for students who are interested in transferring to soon-to-be Colorado State University-Pueblo. All students who are currently attending community colleges or have attended a college in the past are invited to receive more information about this special event. Contact Shauna Baker at (719) 549-2391 for additional information.

The transfer open house will honor students and members of the faculty and the staff at the community/junior colleges. Information about the transfer process and other programs will be presented. One program that we are promoting to maximize the transfer process is the Destination CSU-Pueblo program, which has been redesigned to establish an academic advising partnership with the student, community college advisor, and USC/CSU-Pueblo advisor.

The Transfer Open House will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome reception and will continue until 7:30. Presentations will include a keynote speech by Cora Zaletel, Assistant to the President for External Relations, addressing the transformation from University of Southern Colorado to Colorado State University-Pueblo; a presentation on Destination CSU-Pueblo; a Question/Answer Panel, and sessions with academic professors.

Colorado State University-Pueblo looks forward to begin a new relationship with the transfer students. The Transfer Open House will signify the introduction of the new academic partnership between USC/Colorado State University-Pueblo, the student and the community colleges.

The University of Southern Colorado is a regional, comprehensive university emphasizing professional, career-oriented, and applied programs.
