USC Homecoming/Family Day includes open classes, bonfire, family fun day
Pueblo -- Parents, alumni, and community members can attend a college class, roast a s'more, or cheer on their favorite Wolf Pack team when the University of Southern Colorado hosts its Homecoming and Family Weekend, Oct. 25-27. A complete list of events follows.

Registration will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 25) in the Occhiato University Center, where participants may pick up event tickets and schedules. Campus tours will be available both at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and numerous college courses will be open to the public. Women's and men's soccer contests will be followed by a tailgate BBQ in Massari Arena, where the brave can test their skills on the climbing wall. After the Lady Thunderwolves volleyball team takes on the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs at 7 p.m., a bonfire and athlete appreciation rally will be held in the Soccer Field Parking Lot east of campus.

A Walk for Women's Athletics opens Saturday's activities with an 8 a.m. start. For a $25 donation, participants can support women's athletics scholarships and receive a t-shirt, breakfast, and 30 minutes of exercise. Free tickets are available on a first come-first-served basis to the Symphony for Kids, "Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "Peter and the Wolf" beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Hoag Hall. Other Saturday events include women's and men's basketball scrimmage, academic open houses, alumni and intercollegiate volleyball games, and a cheerleading clinic for children of all ages. Clinic participants get a chance to strut their stuff at the 7 p.m. volleyball match versus New Mexico Highlands. Everyone can kick off their heels for the barefoot bash in the Occhiato University Center at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, championship contests for intramural soccer and flag football will be followed by a Family Fun Day that includes a bicycle rodeo, face and finger painting, and pumpkin carving, all on the USC Soccer Fields.
