University of Southern Colorado appoints interim
alumni director
Pueblo, Colo. -- Tracy Samora has been appointed interim director of
alumni relations at the University of Southern Colorado, effective Sept. 9,
according to Cora Zaletel, assistant to the president for External Affairs.
Samora will serve through the end of December, when the search for a permanent
alumni director will begin.
Samora served as program coordinator in the Office of
Alumni and Development and most recently in enrollment management. A graduate of
USC's Mass Communications program, Samora is well known on campus and in the
community because of previous employment with public television station KTSC,
radio stations KCCY/KDZA, the Colorado State Fair, and the Sangre de Cristo Arts
Center.
She will replace Andrea Aragon, who has accepted the
position of CEO of the Pueblo United Way. A USC alum, Aragon will remain
involved with the university through the Transformation Committee and other
alumni activities. Aragon's last day on campus will be Thursday, (Sept. 5).
