University of Southern Colorado appoints interim alumni director

Pueblo, Colo. -- Tracy Samora has been appointed interim director of alumni relations at the University of Southern Colorado, effective Sept. 9, according to Cora Zaletel, assistant to the president for External Affairs. Samora will serve through the end of December, when the search for a permanent alumni director will begin.

Samora served as program coordinator in the Office of Alumni and Development and most recently in enrollment management. A graduate of USC's Mass Communications program, Samora is well known on campus and in the community because of previous employment with public television station KTSC, radio stations KCCY/KDZA, the Colorado State Fair, and the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center.

She will replace Andrea Aragon, who has accepted the position of CEO of the Pueblo United Way. A USC alum, Aragon will remain involved with the university through the Transformation Committee and other alumni activities. Aragon's last day on campus will be Thursday, (Sept. 5).

The University of Southern Colorado is a regional, comprehensive university emphasizing professional, career-oriented and applied programs. Displaying excellence in teaching, celebrating diversity, and engaging in service and outreach, USC is distinguished by access, opportunity and the overall quality of services provided to its students.
