USC STUDENTS MAY ENTER COMPETITION FOR STUDY ABROAD
Pueblo, Colo. -- Students at the University of Southern Colorado who are
interested in studying abroad may enter a national competition to help pay part
of their expenses. USC now is accepting applications for the Benjamin A. Gilman
International Scholarship for the 2002-2003 academic year.
This nationally based scholarship program offers a
competition for awards for students who are interested in studying abroad.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States, undergraduate students, and be
receiving federal Pell Grant funding during the academic term of their
application. The study abroad program must be country-based in nature.
Preference is given to students who will be studying outside the country for an
entire academic year.

The deadline for fall applications is April 15. October 15
is the deadline for spring applications.
