Pueblo, Colo. -- Women considering careers in the transportation field are encouraged to apply for two scholarships now available at the University of Southern Colorado.

Graduate scholarships are being offered through the Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship, which was established in 1981 by the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) in memory of Helene M. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Local WTS chapters may have their own requirements.

The Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship is open to women with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in a transportation-related field and plan to pursue a career in a transportation-related field. The deadline for application is Friday, Nov. 4.

Undergraduate scholarships are being offered through the Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship that was established in honor of Sharon D.
