| USC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOINS HISPANIC
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT Pueblo, Colo. - A University of Southern Colorado administrator has been appointed by U.S. Representative Scott McInnis as a participant in the National Hispanic Leadership Summit. Don Ortega, executive director of Enrollment Management at the University of Southern Colorado, will attend the summit to be held in Washington D.C. on Sept. 17 and 18. He will attend sessions on topics such as national safety, education, the economic future, health care, and creating business opportunities; all relevant to the Latino community. Speakers will include, high-profile Latinos, including Members of Congress, and prominent members of the Bush Administration. Ortega also recently accepted an invitation to become an active member of the TG (Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation) National School Committee. The Committee serves as a forum for dialogue and information sharing between TG and representative school customers within TG's national service area. The Committee consists of seven university officials from various institutions. The University of Southern Colorado is a regional comprehensive university emphasizing professional, career oriented and applied programs.
