| GOVERNOR WILL SIGN HB 1324 AT USC Pueblo, Colo. - Colorado Governor Bill Owens will visit the University of Southern Colorado on Wednesday, May 29, to sign HB 1324. Effective July 1, 2003, the statute will change USC's name to Colorado State University-Pueblo. CSU-Pueblo's mission will include a focus on bachelor's and master's degree programs that assist with economic development. "We're inviting the community to the campus to witness an historic moment in the evolution of this fine institution," said USC Interim President Robert Glennen. "Together, we're about to take a large step forward in higher education for Pueblo and southeastern Colorado," said Glennen. The public event will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Occhiato University Center. |
