Pueblo, Colo. - Eighteen high school seniors from Colorado, Texas, New
Mexico, and Arizona have accepted invitations to join the 2002 cohort of the
President's Leadership Program at the University of Southern Colorado.
Now in its third year, the President's Leadership Program
is underwritten by the El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs, and is one of
five four-year schools to participate in the Colorado Leadership Alliance.
The class of 2002 includes: Arthur Dylan Barry, Tucson,
AZ; Marissa Kate Brown, Pueblo; Amanda Dianne Clark, Karval; Stephanie Marie
Crossley, Canon City; Rustyn Lynn Fillmore, Pueblo; Justin Matthew Fox, Pueblo;
Christen Elaine Gower, Canon City; Kristen Marie Green, Aztec, NM; Jennifer Eddy
Gregorio, Pueblo; Leslie Ann Haywood, Littleton; Andrea Rene Jennings,
Walsenburg; Mark Anthony Magnone, Colorado Springs; Mark Ryan Tomky, Olney
Springs; Dustin Monroe Trimble, Bailey; Lisa Marie Vasquez, San Antonio, TX;
Troy Kenneth Vigil, Leadville; Alexis Ann Willcox, Elizabeth; and Greg Alan
Wissinger, Monument.
Participating students receive an annual scholarship and
complete a minor in Leadership Studies while at USC. Students are selected on
the basis of scholarship, leadership potential, and commitment to service
outside of self.
