Information Technology Services (ITS) has rolled out Office 2007 to all student lab computers. This package upgrade offers many new user-friendly features and functions, including Tabs, Quick Access Menus, Mini Toolbars, Alt Shortcuts and Commands.

Compatibility:

All Office 2007 files generated will have an extension that has an “x” appended. For example, a Word document will now be named filename.docx.
A compatibility patch has been loaded on all campus computers. This will allow users who are using different Office products to share files. For personal computers, a compatibility patch can be downloaded from Microsoft Downloads.

Student email accounts will utilize Office 2007 – Outlook.
