Telephone Services

Each resident will need to bring their own phone. To call on-campus just dial the last four digits of the number, you do not have to dial the prefix. To call off-capmus, dial "8" and wait for the dial tone, then dial the seven digit number. To make a long distance call, you must have a calling card. Calls cannot be charged to the phone in your room. Voice mail service is not provided, students may want to bring an answering machine as well.

Bathrooms

You will share a bathroom with the other residents on your floor. A shower caddy is helpful to carry needed items from your room to the bathroom, and a nice bathrobe is recommended. There are two bathrooms per floor one for men and one for women.

Custodial Services

Custodial Services are provided for the bathrooms, hallways, lounges, and recreation areas. The custodians are not employed to pick up after each resident. They are here to help maintain a clean living environment.

Maintenance is provided for university fixtures in your room. If a university fixture needs repair, please contact the front desk. The item will be fixed by maintenance staff as soon as possible. If the damage is deliberate, or beyond normal wear and tear, you will be charged.

Mail

Mail Boxes are located in the main lobby. A mail box and combination is assigned to you upon check-in. Please remember your mail box combination, and always use your Box # on your correspondence, not your room number. Please note also that, due to limited staff, we will forward your mail for a limited time after you move out of BRH.

Mail is delivered to Belmont Hall Monday through Friday. Stamps may be purchased at the CSU-Pueblo Mail Service office which is located in the Physical Plant. To be assured of having your mail delivered promptly please have your mail addressed as follows:

YOUR NAME
CSU-Pueblo
Belmont Hall - BOX #
2290 Bonforte Blvd.
Pueblo, CO 81001

Keys

Your room key will open the main lobby entrances and your stairwell floor door. Loss of your key will result in a $50 charge for the necessary lock change. Should you lock yourself out of your room or temporarily misplace your key, you may check out a spare by presenting your student ID at the front desk. Each student receives three free spare key check-outs, after which they are charged $1 for each spare key check out.

Check In and Check Out

Check-in and Check-out Room Inventory: Residents of each room, in cooperation with their RA, must fill out and sign a room inventory Check-in Form when they move in. The form should list any physical damage to the room and its furnishing which existed prior to occupancy. The form guarantees both the resident and the university that the resident is accountable only for new damage. Residents of a room will be held jointly responsible for any damage which occurs after they have claimed occupancy. Failure to check out prior to vacating your room will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Lobby

The Belmont Hall Lobby is open 24 hours a day. It all happens here; from movie nights projected on a huge 18' X 14' Screen, to a competitive game of Jeopardy hosted by Residence Life staff. A lot happens in the lobby, and a lot is offered here as well. We offer students the ability to check-out equipment, from the Belmont Hall Front Desk. Equipment offered in the lobby includes a full size pool table, ping pong table, and a air hockey table, all completely free to residents! The lobby also has several couches and chairs for lounging or studying, as well as several tables for hanging out with friends or cramming for that critical exam outside of the room. Also in the lobby residents can watch TV, or during special event nights residents can view movies or sporting events on our giant projection screen, complete with its own surround sound system. Students mail boxes are also located in the main lobby.

At the front desk residents can schedule appointments with the staff of Residence Life and Housing, get information regarding CSU-Pueblo and surrounding areas, or check out equipment for rental use. This is a great place to go if you are in need of help and cannot find your Resident Assistant (RA).

Computer Lab

The Belmont Hall Computer Lab is located off the lobby just left of the front desk. Any resident can use this lab 24 hours per day. The lab is equipped with nine Dell personal computers, up to date with the latest Microsoft Office applications.

Weight Room

The Belmont Hall Weight Room is also open 24 hours and is free to all residents. The weight room is equipped with machines for virtually every muscle group, ranging from the not so serious lifter to the dedicated athlete. Also included are treadmills and stair steppers.

Mini-Gym

Belmont Hall provides a 24 hour gymnasium in the lower level of the lobby. The gym has a full basketball court and can be arranged for playing volleyball with a full sized net. Residence Life staff regularly holds activities in the gym. Equipment for the Gym can be checked out at the front desk.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a great place for residents as an alternative to the on campus Dining Services. It is open from 8am until midnight. Residents interested in creating their own meals or reheating leftovers can reserve the kitchen at the front desk. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a refrigerator, a sink and a microwave. Cooking utensils can be checked out at the front desk.

Laundry Room

The laundry room is downstairs and offers residents the option of washing and drying their clothes 24 hours per day without leaving the building. Each load in our large industry washing machines cost $1.00 for a 30 minute cycle. The industrial sized dryers cost $.25 for 15 minutes. Tables and carts are available in the laundry room to help you sort and control your articles of clothing while you clean them. Change for washing machines, vending machines, or video games may be obtained in the Bookstore in the University Center, cashier's window in the Administration building, the change machine in the computer lab or at the front desk.

Quiet Study Lounge

The Belmont Hall Quiet Study Lounge is a great place to go to study without the distractions of your room or the hustle and bustle of the lobby. The quiet study lounge is available 24 hours a day. The quiet study lounge can be reserved for special student functions as well.
