Sharing a room with someone is an adjustment, which takes time. Regardless of how long you have known each other, a challenge confronts both of you. The challenge to create a roommate relationship based on respect for each other, tolerance for differences and commitment to communication about problems that come up. If you have a hard time getting things started, talk to your RA. He or she will be happy to help. Try the following questions to help begin your roommate relationship. What is your hometown like? How many people are in your family? What time do you go to bed and get up? How do you let people know what's bugging you? What are your pet peeves? What are you like when you get stressed out?
