The Office of Residence Life and Housing provides students with a positive living environment that includes social, cultural, and educational programs and support services. The staff includes a Director, an Assistant Director, three - four Student Coordinators, eleven trained Resident Assistants (RAs), seven Student Assistants (SAs), administrative assistant, custodians, and maintenance workers. A Resident Assistant is assigned to each floor, and the Student Assistants provide 24 hour coverage of the lobby desk that provides support and emergency services to students.

Student safety and security is a priority. All outside doors are locked at 10:00 pm, and floor doors are locked 24 hours a day. Each student is provided with a key that opens the outside doors and the student’s floor door and room door. CSU-Pueblo has an on-campus branch of the Pueblo County Sheriffs' department on-call 24 hours a day.

Belmont Residence Hall has three wings and eleven floors with a total capacity of 540 students. Services include a 24 hour front desk, resident kitchen, lounge areas, computer lab, recreation games, mini gym, fitness room, study room, and laundry facilities. Students receive free phone service, cable TV service, and internet service in each room.
