| Corporation for National Service plans to support up to 12
National Service Fellowships. The Fellowships will be in the form of a
contract made directly to individuals. Both full-time (40 hours or

Provides a year-long educational program for experienced social sector

be a chief executive officer or senior staff member of a non- profit
organization, have a minimum of ten years' work experience, and be
available to attend three scheduled gatherings of Fellows during the

Virginia A. Hodgkinson Research
Prize
was established by Independent Sector () in 1995 to recognize outstanding
published research that furthers our understanding of philanthropy,
voluntary action, nonprofits, and civil society in either the United
States or abroad. To be eligible, the research article, report, or book
must have been published within the three calendar years prior to the year
of the award. Recipients of the prize are researchers and practitioners
who work in or with the voluntary sector and who through their work have
demonstrated local, regional, national, or international impact and
recognition. Two research prizes will be awarded: a first prize of $1,000
