AWARD/DECLINE

How do I know if I have been awarded?

bulletThe awarding agency will send a letter to the principal investigator or stating the award and the award amount.  A copy of the award letter then needs to be forwarded to the Director of ORSP.

If I am awarded, then what?

bulletThe PI, Director of ORSP, Department Chair and Dean will meet to go over the institutional commitments, reporting requirements and timelines.
bulletIf budgetary negotiations are needed, the Director of ORSP will assist you in the process.
bulletThe PI will need to complete an Account Create form, which is available on the ORSP FORMS page, and submit it to the Grants Manager in Accounting.  The Grants Manager will assign an account number and go over the accounting process with the PI.

If I've been declined, then what?

bulletMost agencies will announce the same grant from year to year. Hold on to the proposal, meet with the Director of ORSP and make any necessary changes to resubmit in the next round.
