AAUW  -- American Association of University Women  -- one of the nation's largest sources of private funding for educational programs that directly benefit women and girls. The Foundation funds:  groundbreaking research;  fellowships and grants for outstanding women from around the globe;  special awards; and vital community action projects.

American Council of Learned Societies - Their mission is the advancement of humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and the social sciences, and the maintenance and strengthening of relations among the national societies devoted to such studies.
Capital Research Center (Caterpillar Foundation) has distributed more than $100 million to various organizations in the fields of education, health & human service, civic & community activities, and culture & art.
Colorado Council on the Arts -- descriptions of the many services and programs CCA offers as well as links to other local, state, and national arts information resources.
Colorado Endowment for the Humanities -- CEH devotes its resources to two key areas: developing humanities education programs for all Coloradans, and awarding grants that enable other not-for-profits to
develop projects for their communities.
Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes   -- serves as a site for the discussion of issues germane to the fostering of cross-disciplinary activity and as a network for the circulation of information and the sharing of resources.
J. Paul Getty Trust -- Funds a wide range of projects throughout the world that promote research in the history of art and related fields, advancement of the understanding of art, and conservation of cultural heritage.
John Templeton Foundation - The mission is to pursue new insights at the boundary between theology and science.
Lila and DeWitt Wallace Reader's Digest Funds -- The Wallace- Reader's Digest Funds seek to enrich community life through support of education, arts and culture.
Modern Language Association - Promotes the study and teaching of language and literature.
National Endowment for the Arts -- Fosters the excellence, diversity and vitality of the arts in the United States, and to broaden public access to the arts. Since 1965, the NEA has awarded more in 111,000 grants .
National Endowment for the Humanities -- A federal agency that supports learning in history, literature, philosophy, and other areas of the humanities. Funding for research, education, museum exhibitions, documentaries, preservation, and activities in the states.
