A hard drive failure that occurred this weekend in central storage is causing system slowness across campus. Systems affected include Blackboard, email, dept shares, etc. ITS has been working with the vendor to accelerate the rebuild time for the failed drive but, at this time, the vendor estimates the rebuild to be complete this weekend (1/23/2011). ITS is working to minimize the impact on systems as much as possible.
