Low Ropes Course Descriptions

Telephone (TP) Shuffle - Half the group starts at one end of the pole and the other half starts at the opposite end. Facing the center of the pole, each group must move to the opposite end of the pole without anyone touching the ground.

Islands - The goal is to traverse 3 platforms that are spread apart, using a longer board and a shorter board without the boards touching the ground or the participants touching the ground.  .

Nitro Crossing - The goal is to work together to transport the group and a container 7/8 full of "nitro" (water) across an open area using a swinging rope.

Wild Woozy - This element involves many people.  Two individuals figure out how to physically support each other as the attempt to traverse the lengths of two diverging cables that are tightly strung between supports about 2' above the ground.  Others in the group participate by spotting the two on the cables.

Team Wall - The object is to physically and safely move a group over an 8' or 12' wall one participant at a time.

Whale Watch - Consists of a rectangular platform balanced on a fulcrum like a giant seesaw. The group is challenged to balance itself on the platform for a set amount of time or for long enough to complete the short task that does not require them to move.

Mohawk Walk - This is an exciting element that encourages participants to work together.  The object is to move a group from start to finish on top of and along a series of tightly strung cables between support poles.

Spider's Web - The object is to move your entire group through a nylon fabricated web without touching the web material.

Trolleys/Boardwalk - Group must work together to walk while standing on wooden trolleys (long boards with ropes to hang on to every few feet).

Maze - The group is blindfolded led to a maze of rope, then, asked to find the exit. The objectives are listening to specific instructions, trust, and problem solving that requires out-of-the-box thinking.

There are many other teambuilding games and initiatives which can be chosen for your group.
