All of these high ropes elements are at a height of 30 -45 feet.
Giant's Ladder
- This can
be used by two people at a time. The rungs on this ladder
are made of large wood timber joined by ropes. What makes
this element difficult is that the rungs range from 3 feet
to almost 6 feet apart.
Power Pole -
One
participant climbs a utility pole using staples to reach the
top of the pole. Upon reaching the top the participant
leaps from the top of the pole attempting to catch a trapeze
bar that is suspended in the air.
Zip Line
-
The zip line
is on the top level of the trapezoid and used as one method
for exiting the static course. The participant completes a
normal change over to the elements K-2 pulley. The
participant uses the pulley to slide from the platform and
toward the dismount ladder.
Broken Bridge
- Two parallel cables strung horizontally
between two poles that are approximately 2 feet apart.
Strung between the cables are a series of 4x4’s; some of
which are whole, while some are broken. The goal is to
traverse across this bridge.
Multi-vine Traverse
-
This is a single tensioned foot cable with dangling ropes
suspended from an overhead cable at varying intervals.
Wilder Woozy
-
Two tightly
strung foot cables progress outward from a common utility
pole terminating at poles approximately 12 feet apart and 35
feet from the starting pole. Each foot cable has a separate
belay cable. Two participants, one on each cable, move out
along the diverging cables using each other as support until
they can go no further. Each participant is belayed with a
separate dynamic belay.
Trapezoid (Two-Line Bridge, Burma Bridge, Buddy Beam, Balance Beam, Heebie Jeebie)
-
A
series of individual challenges with multiple levels and
multiple challenges from moving over telephone poles to
moving across wire foot cables. Participants are instructed
on how to safely operate their personal static belay system
on the ground prior to accessing the element. All transfers
are supervised by trained participants or facilitation team
members.
There are
many other teambuilding games and initiatives which can be
chosen for your group.
