Michelle has led the CSU-Pueblo Career Center since 2001. She also served as the Employer Relations Specialist for the campus and developed job opportunities for all majors from 1997-2001. Prior to working in higher education she worked as a Senior Human Resources Generalist for Lockheed Martin, Unisys, Sperry Corporation, 1986-1997. She holds a bachelors degree in Education and is a Certified DDI (Development Dimensions International) Corporate Trainer and licensed Colorado Teacher. She is well versed in all aspects of the human resource function with particular expertise in career development, recruitment, outplacement, and job search techniques. She has a working knowledge of a Hispanic Serving Institution and feels she can share her secrets of hiring practices with students that may better prepare them for the “Real-World”.

Tanya has served as the Internship Coordinator for the CSU-Pueblo campus since 2006, and holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She has over 30 years of management experience in both non-profit and for profit business, of which 15 years have been devoted to the field of Human Resources. A certified True Colors and Myers Briggs trainer, Tanya is experienced in career advising and guidance of traditional, non-traditional, and transitional students in a post-secondary environment. Her ability to develop strong network ties and relationships with area and statewide businesses is a plus for assisting students with internship and employment opportunities. Tanya’s years of management and human resource experience gives her insight into hiring processes, recruitment and valuing the human commodity which she shares with students and employers.
