Yellow Ribbon Program

The VA has established a program for Post 9/11 benefit recipients whereby it will share the additional unreimbursed cost of tuition with the school the veteran is attending.  This program is known as the Yellow Ribbon Program.  At CSU – Pueblo tuition rates generally do not exceed the amount the VA will pay, so there has not been a need to participate in this program.  Typically, only some non-resident veterans would be subject to some portion of unreimbursed tuition.  If you are one of those veterans or eligible dependents, please see Linda Garcia in the Veterans Educational Benefits Office (VEBO) immediately for assistance with the CSU – Pueblo financial aid process.  We are confident that with VEBO assistance, no veteran will have to absorb any unreimbursed tuition cost.

The VEBO will continue to monitor its tuition and the amount the VA will reimburse veterans and dependents for tuition.  Be assured that we will enroll in the Yellow Ribbon Program as soon as it becomes necessary to do so.
