| Associated General Contractors of America | Our mission is to provide members and students with an opportunity to enhance their leadership, organizational, and academic skills. Our organization pledges to allow its officers and members to make its decisions. We want students and members to enhance their confidence in education, public speaking, organizing events, and becoming a professional. An understood goal we emphasize is that we want our members to use the AGC as a tool to transition themselves from being an ordinary student into a developing leader. By graduation, we hope that our members have gained that leadership while moving forward in whichever career field they pursue. Each month we hold meetings where we allow all participants to engage and develop new and exciting ideas that the AGC could explore and entertain. Over the years, we have come to be recognized by the local community as a regular partaker in volunteering. Each semester we embark on hosting activities such as teaching boy scouts basic engineering concepts, putting together engineering competitions for local middle and high school students, helping Habitat for Humanity build homes, and engaging in any other types of activities our members come up with. We encourage communication to our members when it comes to needing help with academic needs. We have built a small library of books that help students understand the concepts of math and science. If these concepts aren't met, our members are open and eager to help each other with tutoring free of charge. Our students and members are expected to do whatever it takes to pull each other through tough times in academics to ensure we all graduate together. This is why the AGC members graduate from CSU-P with long lasting bonds. It is our hope that new classes arriving to our campus will keep these traditions and bonds going over the years. If you are interested in the AGC, please feel free to contact us anytime!
